  •    The Jewish Star – Star of David   

    The Star of David is an ancient symbol of magical significance, which was known in ancient Israel, Babylonia, Egypt and India, and still is primarily used in different cultures as a symbol of protection, of unity of contradictions and balance.

    The Star of David symbolizes the integration of the world of the spirit with the material world.

    The hexagrama – the Star of David, was used and still is used by many other groups, such as Buddhists, Christians and Muslims, the Ethiopian monarchy, the Restfarim at Jamaica, the Theoosofim, and alchemists.

    The first time when the two triangles are fit just as we recognize as a Magen David, is on a stone seal found by the Italian archaeologist Doro Levy of Jewish origin – at the Festus Palace in Crete, from 1700 BC, from the Minoan period, when the palace was destroyed; that is about seven hundred years before King David was born.

    This icon may find its way to Israel by the Philistines who invaded Israel on the twelfth century BC, fought the judges and two centuries later fought King David.

    In Alchemy – the triangle which points upwards signifies the element of fire, and the triangle which points downward symbolizes the element of water. Fire and water – opposites that unite and together symbolize the unity of opposites.

    Therefore in alchemy, this unity of fire and water fire water, and maybe that’s why Heksagrams were drawn on shops selling alcohol up to one century ago.

    The Star of David symbolizes also the six directions of the natural world, and the center is the point of the supernatural.

    At the jewel “the Atomic Protection” we see how the ancient symbol of the Star of David is built into the atom symbol and derives from it, and together they give to the person who wears it the most powerful defense force, receiving its power and inherent vitality from the unity between the symbol of the Star of David and the symbol of the atom.

    The Star of David, an ancient symbol which bears magical significance was widely known in the land of Israel and also in Babylon, Egypt and India.

    It is still regarded in various cultures as a symbol of protection, unification of opposites and provision of balance.

    The Star of David also signifies integration of the spiritual world and the material world.
